Non-Destructive Examination of Autoclave Door Closure

The scope of work under this item includes the removal of all paint, grease and foreign substances from the radius area of each of the Lugs. This area will then be examined by a Certified Third Party Inspection agency qualified in Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic procedures. It is important to note that minor repairs can be completed while the inspection agency is on site. This will allow for completing the inspection with no defects remaining. If major repairs are required, TEC will provide a quotation for additional repairs, inspections and reports as required.

The door closure area will be examined by a Certified Third Party Inspection agency qualified in Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic procedures while TEC is on site. During the inspection, the TEC Technicians will note his findings and make the required minor repairs. Sanding or grinding will be done to remove any small indications. It is important to note that minor repairs can be completed while the inspection agency is on site. This will allow for completing the inspection with no defects remaining.

If major repairs are required, TEC will provide a quotation for the additional repairs. Generally indications 3/32” deep and deeper are repaired by welding. This type of repair requires more time and inspection by the third-party agency. As such, this will be quoted separately, if required.
